V&V VentMet laboratory Ltd. as the A group inspection institution works according to LVS EN ISO/IEC 17020 standard in the mandatory scope, as well as in the voluntary scope.

Subsequent verification


Subsequent verification is the periodic verification of measuring instruments after the previous verification, as well as the verification of measuring instruments after the repair. The subsequent verification is performed on the national market in accordance with the Regulations No.981 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia if a measuring instrument type is approved or this measuring instrument was produced by 28 June 2005, and the national initial verification or conformity assessment procedures are applied.
The Regulations No.40 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia state the list of measuring instruments subject to the state metrological control and their verification periodicity. V&V VentMet laboratory Ltd. performs subsequent verification of the following measuring instruments in the mandatory scope.

National initial verification


Initial verification is a verification of a new, previously unverified measuring instrument in accordance with the approved type or metrological requirements prior to its placement on the market or putting into service.
The initial verification is performed in accordance with the Regulations No.624 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia for measuring instruments undergone national and European Community (EC) type approval. V&V VentMet laboratory Ltd. performs the national initial verification of the following measuring instruments with the obtained type approval in Latvia.
