Product certification – the action of an independent third person certifying that the relevant product conforms to the requirements specified in the relevant standard or the regulatory enactment.
V&V VentMet laboratory Ltd. performs the product conformity assessment in the mandatory scope in accordance with the Regulations No.212 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia, the Directive 2014/32/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to the making available on the market of measuring instruments, as well as requirements of EN standards and following modules of the conformity assessment procedures:
- Type examination of water meter – module B;
- Type examination of heat meter – module B.
Equal financial and technical requirements are applied to all clients regardless the client’s business type, participation in any association or a number of previously issued certificates.
Competent technical experts specializing in relevant products and/or independent competent laboratories are involved in the procedures of the conformity assessment of measuring instruments.
The type examination certificate issued by V&V VentMet laboratory Ltd. acknowledges conformity of the measuring instrument with requirements of the international standards and regulatory enactments.
V&V VentMet laboratory Ltd. maintains the register of suppliers / manufacturers and the type examination certificates issued.
